Abstract
The rapid development of information and communication technologies in the modern world has led to significant changes in the social, economic and cultural spheres. The article discusses the nature of the information revolution, its consequences and the processes of the emergence of the information society. Special attention is paid to technological progress, the transformation of economic and social structures and the role of the individual in the new social environment. The article also provides a socio-philosophical analysis of the problems of the formation and development of the information society, the socio-cultural consequences of the information revolution, as well as the development of new information and communication technologies and their impact on human activity and the life of modern society. The article describes in detail the history of the development of modern information technologies.
Finally, conclusions are presented that reflect the importance of information technologies both in everyday life and in their use as a tool for organizing process management in organizational activities.
